Project Overview

The client is a global leader in ticketing and live event access, managing millions of ticket sales every year. Facing growing challenges around counterfeit tickets, unverified resales, and lost revenue for artists, they began exploring blockchain as a secure, scalable alternative.

In 2018, the client acquired a blockchain ticketing startup, as its first step toward on-chain ticket security. Building on that foundation, they aimed to create a platform that could issue tamper-proof NFT tickets, allow fans to resell them securely, and offer artists additional monetization through royalties. To accelerate this roadmap, they engaged a us to design and deliver a smart contract–based NFT ticketing system with wallet integration, resale logic, and token-gated experiences—deployed on the Flow blockchain.

🔹 Smart Contract Infrastructure

We built a modular smart contract system that could mint, manage, and verify NFT tickets on-chain.

  • NFT metadata: event ID, date, tier, seat info, access level
  • Time-based access control & token expiry logic
  • On-chain history to prevent reuse or cloning of tickets

The NFT tickets served more than just entry—they unlocked backstage access, early merch drops, and exclusive meet-and-greet zones for holders.

We enabled controlled resale functionality using Flow’s NFT standard and royalty splits.

Fans could buy tickets using fiat or crypto and receive them directly in their wallets.
